PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Buckwheat is the seed of a flowering plant related to rhubarb and has a thick outer hull that once removed yields a triangular shaped buckwheat groat that is tan in color. A versatile ingredient that is popular in porridge, soba noodles, pilaf, kasha, biscuits, blinis, flatbreads, hotcakes, and soups. Buckwheat flour should be combined with strong gluten content flours to provide structure, texture and flavor when baking rising breads. Additionally, buckwheat groats can be ground into buckwheat grits, which are commonly used as a breakfast cereal. Buckwheat groats have a pleasant nutty and earthy flavor and are a good source of protein, dietary fibers, magnesium, copper, and manganese.
Allergen Notice: Product may contain Gluten grain or Soybeans. Product processed, packaged, and stored in a plant that handles Gluten grains and Soybeans. Additionally, previous crop rotations may be a Gluten grain or Soybean crop.
