PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A member of the legume family, with a hearty flavor and consistency, soybeans contain complete proteins and are often used as an alternative to wheat. Soy flour can be used as an alternative to wheat flour for any baked goods, but will need to be combined with other strong gluten content flours to provide structure in bread making. Soybeans are a versatile ingredient and used in a variety of foods to include tofu, tempeh, soymilk, quickbreads, muffins, pancakes, waffles, ice cream and brownies. Soybeans are a good source of protein, dietary fibers, Vitamin K, iron, thiamin, folate, riboflavin, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, and manganese.
